Awhile ago I got this amazing idea of an Alien King. I thought it would be awesome if he had this jewel thing on his chest. And wings! Xenos should have wings. This took awhile cause I actually planned it out. Made over the course of two weeks, but only on school grounds for some reason. I never worked on it outside of school. Still, I worked on it a lot.
The wing looks kinda funky, as if it isn't big enough. The effect I was going for was that it is folded over, so some of it is underneath the other half of the wing. The rips and tears you see are shaded in at that part to kinda help with that idea. Yea, I still failed. I can barely tell. Oh well. I thought it was a really sweet idea all the same. The only references used were some shots of the Alien Queen. Mostly her head and chest to get all the dinky details. |

His wings look more for gliding then true flight though. If he was to really fly with them as is, his body would have to be extreamly light. [trust me I've taken classes on birds and other flying cridders. My dad = bird nut & holder of knowlage]
But gliding is always fun too! ^_^ *favs*
